Perak FA Official Digital Home, Pre-Launch Microsite

Persatuan Bolasepak Perak (“Perak FA”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal data collected through the Perak FA Official Digital Home pre-launch microsite (“Microsite”).
This Privacy Notice explains how personal data may be collected, used, processed, stored, disclosed and protected when you visit the Microsite or register to receive Perak FA communications.
This Notice is intended to operate in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 [Act 709], as amended from time to time, and other applicable Malaysian requirements relating to personal data protection.
1. Who Is Responsible for Your Personal Data
For personal data collected through this Microsite, Persatuan Bolasepak Perak (“Perak FA”) is responsible for determining the purposes for which that personal data is processed, unless otherwise stated.
Perak FA may appoint technology, hosting, database, communications, website-development and other service providers to process personal data on its behalf in connection with operation of the Microsite.
2. Personal Data We May Collect
Depending on how you use the Microsite, we may collect personal data including:
Information you provide directly
- email address;
- mobile telephone number;
- WhatsApp number;
- communication preferences;
- consent and opt-in records; and
- information you voluntarily submit through the Microsite.
Information received through Google or another sign-in provider
If you choose to register using Google or another third-party sign-in service, we may receive certain information made available through that service in accordance with the permissions presented to you.
This may include information such as your name, email address or account identifier, depending on the permissions authorised.
Technical information
When you access the Microsite, certain technical information may also be generated or collected, including:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device type;
- operating system;
- language selection;
- access date and time;
- security and system logs;
- referral information; and
- cookie or similar technical identifiers where applicable.
We will seek to collect only personal data reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice.
3. How We Collect Personal Data
Personal data may be collected:
- directly from you when you submit information through the Microsite;
- when you provide consent to receive communications;
- through Google or another third-party sign-in service where you choose to use it;
- automatically through normal website and server operation;
- through cookies or similar technologies where used; and
- through our appointed service providers acting on our behalf.
4. Why We Process Your Personal Data
Your personal data may be used for purposes including:
- registering your interest in the forthcoming Perak FA Official Digital Home;
- confirming your registration;
- informing you when the Digital Home launches;
- sending authorised Perak FA news and updates;
- communicating information concerning matches, competitions, events, programmes, football development, community initiatives and other Perak FA activities;
- managing communication preferences and consent;
- responding to enquiries relating to your registration;
- maintaining and improving the security and operation of the Microsite;
- diagnosing technical problems;
- preventing fraud, abuse or unauthorised activity;
- maintaining appropriate records;
- analysing general usage and performance of the Microsite where applicable;
- complying with legal or regulatory requirements; and
- protecting the legitimate rights, property and security of Perak FA, users and relevant third parties.
We will not use personal data for purposes that are incompatible with the purposes for which it was collected unless permitted by law or appropriate further consent has been obtained.
5. Is Providing Your Personal Data Mandatory?
Viewing the public content on this pre-launch Microsite does not generally require you to provide your contact information.
Providing an email address and/or mobile or WhatsApp number is voluntary.
However, if you wish to register to receive Perak FA updates, the relevant contact information will be required so that those communications can be delivered to you.
If you choose not to provide the required contact information, you may continue to view the publicly accessible Microsite but will not be registered to receive those communications through that channel.
6. Consent and Communications
Where required, we will obtain your consent before sending communications to you.
By selecting the relevant consent option and submitting your registration, you consent to receiving authorised Perak FA communications through the channels specified at the time of registration, which may include email and WhatsApp.
You may withdraw your consent at any time.
You may do so by:
- using an unsubscribe or opt-out mechanism contained in a communication, where available;
- requesting that communications stop through the relevant communication channel, where supported; or
- emailing [email protected].
We will take reasonable steps to action your request.
We may retain limited information necessary to record and respect your opt-out preference.
7. Disclosure of Personal Data
Perak FA does not sell your personal data.
Personal data may, where reasonably necessary, be disclosed to or processed by categories of recipients including:
- authorised Perak FA personnel;
- technology and website service providers;
- hosting and cloud infrastructure providers;
- database and information technology service providers;
- email and messaging service providers;
- communications and digital platform providers;
- security and technical support providers;
- professional advisers where necessary;
- Launch48 and its relevant service providers where engaged to provide technology or digital services for this Microsite;
- Google, where you elect to use Google services;
- WhatsApp/Meta or other communications providers where those channels are used; and
- government authorities, regulators, law-enforcement agencies or other parties where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Service providers processing personal data on our behalf are expected to handle the information only for authorised purposes and subject to appropriate data-protection and security obligations.
8. International Transfers
Some technology, hosting, authentication, messaging, communications or cloud service providers may operate infrastructure outside Malaysia.
As a result, personal data may in certain circumstances be transferred to, stored in or processed in another country.
Where personal data is transferred outside Malaysia, Perak FA will take reasonable steps to ensure that such transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable Malaysian personal data protection requirements and that appropriate protection is provided for the information.
9. Google Sign-In
If Google sign-in is available and you choose to use it, Google may process information independently in accordance with Google's own terms and privacy practices.
Perak FA will only seek to receive the information made available through the permissions associated with the sign-in process and reasonably required for the registration functionality.
You may alternatively use another registration method offered by the Microsite where available.
10. WhatsApp and Other Messaging Platforms
If you provide a mobile or WhatsApp number and consent to communications through WhatsApp or another messaging service, information relating to those communications may also be processed by the relevant platform provider.
Your use of those third-party platforms remains subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Microsite may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies necessary to:
- operate the website;
- maintain security;
- remember basic preferences such as language selection;
- support authentication or sign-in functionality; and
- understand technical performance where analytics functionality is used.
You may be able to manage cookies through your browser or device settings.
If additional non-essential tracking, advertising or analytics technologies are introduced in the future, appropriate information and controls will be implemented where required.
The future full Perak FA Official Digital Home may adopt a separate or expanded Cookies Policy.
12. Security
Perak FA takes reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against:
- loss;
- misuse;
- unauthorised access;
- unauthorised disclosure;
- alteration;
- accidental destruction; and
- other unauthorised processing.
Access to personal data will be limited to authorised persons and service providers who require access for legitimate purposes.
However, no website, electronic transmission or information-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Retention of Personal Data
Personal data will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including the management of authorised Perak FA communications, or for as long as required or permitted by applicable law.
Where you withdraw consent to receive communications, we will take reasonable steps to stop those communications.
Limited information may continue to be retained where necessary to:
- maintain a record of your opt-out request;
- meet legal or regulatory obligations;
- resolve disputes;
- protect legal rights; or
- maintain security and audit records.
Personal data that is no longer required will be securely deleted, destroyed or anonymised in accordance with applicable requirements and internal procedures.
14. Your Rights
Subject to applicable Malaysian law and any permitted exceptions, you may have rights including the right to:
- request information about personal data held about you;
- request access to your personal data;
- request correction of inaccurate, incomplete or outdated personal data;
- withdraw consent previously provided;
- request that certain processing be limited or stopped;
- prevent processing for direct marketing purposes; and
- exercise applicable data portability rights.

Perak FA will maintain appropriate procedures for responding to suspected or confirmed personal data breaches and will make notifications to the relevant authorities and affected individuals where required by applicable law.
17. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Microsite may contain links to third-party websites, applications or services.
This Privacy Notice applies only to personal data processed by or on behalf of Perak FA in connection with this Microsite.
Third-party providers may have their own privacy notices and practices, which you should review when using their services.
18. Changes to This Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice may be updated from time to time to reflect:
- changes to the Microsite;
- changes in the way personal data is processed;
- changes to service providers;
- changes in Perak FA's operations; or
- changes to applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
The latest version will be published through the Microsite together with the relevant effective or updated date.
